Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I have just returned from a week-long Bible conference with the students at the Instituto Bíblico Berea in Monterrey, Mexico. I was able to spend time with current and new students, and it was a very good time in The Lord. I have been going down to the Bible School in Monterrey, Mexico since I myself was in Bible School! One of the first times I was privileged to speak was in 2006, though I had already spoken years before in different services elsewhere in Mexico. Since 2009 I have been privileged to be able to go down regularly (usually twice a year at the beginning of each of their school semesters) to share a week-long Bible conference. On this trip, there were many times of one-on-one sharing with both faculty and students. I enjoyed all of it! I believe that it is these times that are helpful to further allow The Spirit of God to establish what is being shared during the conference sessions. I always invite the students to ask questions if they do not understand what is being shared. I am thankful that they take the opportunity and ask. Not so that they can understand what I am saying, but so that they can become more attuned unto what The Spirit of The Lord would speak into their hearts. I always tell them to write down only what The Spirit of The Lord is speaking to them, as opposed to what is being said. The best that man's words accomplish is... nothing, but The Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (from Hebrews 4:12). The Word of Lord endureth forever. Each new student receives a copy of T. Austin Sparks’ “School of Christ” in Spanish so that all students have their own personal copy. Also, when different pastors come to visit the Bible school, they get a copy as well. Currently there are 8 new students and possibly a few more arriving during the first week of classes. There are a total of 20 students altogether enrolled at the school at this time. Throughout the years sometimes there have been more, and sometimes times less. The theme of the Bible conference this September was “Experiencing Christ.” The emphasis was upon having a face-to-face encounter with The Living Son of God, and how that everything of God is purposed for this one expected end. Apart from this taking place in our hearts, we are just embracing messages and teachings etc. which are of no reality whatsoever, but only serve to puff us and others up. I want to thank everyone for your prayers during the time I was in Mexico. The Lord broke through and spoke directly into the hearts that were present, including my own. This is something that God alone can do, and I am very thankful for this. I do have a prayer request. Please pray for Brother David. His health is currently not at its best. Every trip I have been able to spend time with him, but this trip he was having stomach problems so I was not able to even see him! I am very sad because of this. I also want to thank those of you who support this ministry for this next generation of ministers. Without your prayers and financial support, much, if not all would be greatly hindered and suffer greatly. Therefore, thank you! I would also like to thank those who were involved in dropping me off and picking me up from the airports, you know who you are! Judith, Hannah, Noah, Zion, Naomi, Pablo, Kay! It is hard enough for me to wake up early to be there on time, but for you to wake up earlier to get me where I need to be on time... that is a job in itself. Thank you! I’m thankful for the opportunity to be able to share Christ with this next generation, not only of believers, but of future ministers! In closing, please enjoy the photos of the time there at the Instituto Bíblico Berea.
